Engineers at an innovative manufacturer of medical laboratory equipment were in a bind. They had just designed, tested, sold, and started shipping their newest system. Suddenly, a problem emerged.

To prevent spillage of valuable biological material, they needed a customized load cell to measure the fullness of their container. But not just any load cell. This one had to meet a demanding list of physical and chemical criteria. As if those weren’t enough, at this point it would have been prohibitively time-consuming and expensive to significantly redesign or retrofit their system. So this miracle load cell also had to fit into an exact, extremely small space within their existing model.

Fortunately, the instrument maker called DJ Instruments. In only 4 months, we designed, prototyped, tested, and put into production a brand-new load cell sensor. It precisely met the customers’ requirements — and exceeded all their hopes for the speediest possible response.
